Tekra Terapix diathermy (Therapeutic Capacitive Resistive Energy Transfer) is a technique that stimulates energy from within biological tissues, activating natural reparative and anti-inflammatory processes.

Its reason for existing lies in the observation that every osteo-articular and soft tissue pathology slows down and modifies

the biological processes that underlie the repair of the damage suffered.

The idea of transferring energy to injured tissues is common to many therapies (radar and Marconi therapy use the antenna effect,

magnetotherapy, the Faraday-Neumann effect, etc.), but they all administer energy coming from the outside.

The Tekra Terapix diathermy instead recalls electrical charges from the whole body, exploiting the condenser model, i.e. two conductors facing each other and separated by an insulator.

If you connect the two conductors to an electric potential difference generator, electrical charges will accumulate on the conductors

which will oppose the current until it is reduced to zero when the system is loaded.

In Tekra Terapix diathermy, an electrode is connected to a generator (with a frequency of 0.5 MHz) while the second conductor

is represented by biological tissue.

In the area under therapy there will be a flow of charges with metabolic activation and an endogenous thermal effect (i.e. which arises from within).

If the moving electrode is not electrically isolated, the concentration of charges occurs

in the tissues with the highest resistance (bone and joints) which therefore act as insulators (resistive contacts).

The effects of Tekra Terapix diathermy are an increase in metabolic activity with increase

of ATP production (and therefore a speeding up of repair), an increase in blood circulation and drainage

lymphatic due to heat-induced vasodilation (and therefore better tissue oxygenation and reabsorption of edema).

The advantage of Tekra Terapix diathermy compared to other energy therapies is that, since the energy comes from within, it is possible to also affect deep layers, which cannot be treated with external energy transfers due to damage to the skin caused by the energies emitted.
